Notes
- Gen3 unit takes 4xAAA batteries. Lithium or (good) rechargeable NiMh
only.
- Expected battery life: 5-7 days of continuous tracking
- Tracker has motion sensor to turn off tracking mode while stopped. No
need to power on/off tracker during race.
- Tracker should be stored with the SPOT logo facing the sky and with as
little obstruction to the sky as possible. Otherwise you will NOT track well.
- Remember to engage the tracker in Tracking mode at the start of the
event!
- It’s your responsibility (to your friends/family following) to track well.
Please remind them that ‘no news is good news’ and to not panic if your
dot gets old.
