Important Rider Notes:
  • Additional registration step: After successful payment via Paypal you will receive an email with a link to a rider bio / SPOT info form titled, "Tour Divide 2013 SPOT Registration" that MUST be completed to finalize your registration with Trackleaders. If you do not fill out the form, you will not appear on the tracking map. If you have not received this email (from info@trackleaders.com) in 4 hours since payment, please contact us.
  • Batteries for SPOT: Each Tour Divide SPOT rental will include 1 (one) set of new triple-A (AAA) Lithium batteries (1 set=three batts.). SPOT REQUIRES LITHIUM BATTERIES ONLY. SPOT may be damaged if any other type of battery is used. Click here to see the model of lithium battery Trackleaders recommends, called "Energizer ULTIMATE Lithium 9X". Our experience is this battery delivers the maximum possible run time, which for a SPOT-2 tracker is 4.5 days on continuous track-mode. You may want to consider starting with a back-up set so you have time to gauge commercial availability along the Great Divide Route.
  • Riders renting SPOTs are responsible for immediate return shipping to Trackleaders upon completion or scratch from the event. Return address will be sent out by email.
